On Monday, November 24, 2025, at 11:00 a.m., in the Graduation Hall of the Faculty of Enology, Muzahir Hussain Hussain will defend his doctoral thesis, carried out at the MoBioFood research group, in collaboration with the Institute of Agro-Food Research and Technology (IRTA), and supervised by researchers Esther Rodriguez and Joan Tarradas from the respective centers.
Muzahir has been enrolled as a PhD student developing the project "Assessment of the immunomodulatory effects induced by probiotic strains (as an alternative to antibiotics) on the regulatory mechanisms of inflammation and tolerance in birds (IMMUNO-FEED)" within the MoBioFood group. His research focuses on intestinal inflammation, intestinal immunity, and the use of probiotics as an alternative to antibiotics, topics that are excellently reflected in his thesis.
